How to fix the printer.

The most common printer issue is caused by sending print jobs on a paper size that we do not stock (anything other than 8.5 x 11). This situation is more common with .PDF format files than other formats. .PDF files may have other issues that are explained in another FAQ entry.
When this happens, the Error indicator light on the printer starts flashing like this:
The fix is simple.
First you press the Status Monitor/Cancel button like so:
Note, In real life, your focus will probably be clearer, and your finger better looking.
The printer will display the specific error. Most often it will be a paper size error.
Press the OK button and printing will resume.
That’s all there is to it more than 90% of the time.
Unless something is really awry (paper jam, empty toner, etc.) , then you’d still have to do the above steps to find out what’s wrong, so you might as well push a couple of buttons.
