The most common printer issue is caused by sending print jobs on a paper size that we do not stock (anything other than 8.5 x 11).


When this happens, the Error indicator light on the printer starts flashing like this:






The fix is simple.

First you press the Status Monitor/Cancel button like so:

Note, In real life, your focus will probably be clearer, and your finger better looking.




The printer will display the specific error. Most often it will be a paper size error.






Press the OK button and printing will resume.






That’s all there is to it more than 90% of the time.

Unless something is really awry (paper jam, empty toner, etc.) , then you’d still have to do the above steps to find out what’s wrong, so you might as well push a couple of buttons
