In order to get articles through interlibrary loan, you must first create an ILLiad account, which is the unique interlibrary loan software Fintel Library uses. Click the link that reads FIRST TIME USERS to create your ILLiad account: https://roanoke.illiad.oclc.org/illiad/logon.html

Fill out the ILLiad account form and create your own user name and password. Once you have that user name and password, that is all you need to log-in to ILLIad.

Find the article you wish to request, select the link that reads "request through interlibrary loan", log in with your ILLiad user name and password, review the article information that is populated in the article request form for you- particulary the field that reads NOT WANTED AFTER THIS DATE- and click SUBMIT REQUEST.

Once the full text article arrives to your ILLiad account, you will receive an email that gives directions on how to retrieve it (follow the ILLIad link, log in, and your article will be under the Electronic Delivery link).

Interlibrary Loan requests for full text articles may take a FEW DAYS to process and fill, so please give us time to process it. If you need the article within 24-48 hours then we would suggest not using Interlibrary Loan.

Please contact us if you have any additional questions about Interlibrary Loan, or have any trouble setting up an account.
